ABOUT US
Delaware Child Development began in 1997 in Bartlesville, OK. The initial programs provided support for parents for child care payments and child care providers with training. The program has evolved to provide a variety of support services for parents and providers. The program also serves as a liaison between the community and early childhood, providing the community with information about early childhood research, early childhood needs in the area, and ways to help meet those needs.
Our commitment to providing high quality early learning environments for children has remained steadfast. Working with young children requires a commitment and dedication from individuals that know and understand early child development and learning behaviors and the importance of positive learning environments. Our programs and our staff are committed to nurturing healthy and happy growing children.
The Delaware Child Development Program believes that all children deserve a caring, nurturing environment in which to grow and develop to his/her fullest potential. Our mission is to work with other agencies, businesses, and individuals to help guide that to happen. By working with centers, family child care homes, schools, parents, or the community, we hope to touch the lives of all children that we encounter either directly or indirectly. Education and knowledge is the key to addressing this need.
The core of our belief lies with the heart, mind, and souls of our future – our children. We must do everything in our power to inform and educate the public regarding the importance of a strong foundation for our children. Only then will we be able to see a societal change that will embrace the importance of opportunities for children at an early age.
The Delaware Child Development Program has very dedicated and knowledgeable staff that serves in many capacities with the single goal of strengthening children’s programs. They are leaders in the mission to educate and inform. They are vessels for change in programming and policy. They work with children, parents, child care providers, and business and community leaders to continually demonstrate and show them what we know to be a fact – THE EARLY YEARS OF A CHILD’S LIFE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME OF HIS / HER LIFE!
