Ms Jenny’s Class—Preschool
Welcome to a new month in preschool!! We are so excited that spring is here and we are getting to go outside more and learn new things!
We have been traveling the world and learning about new places! So far, we have seen the elephants and giraffes in Kenya; tasted yummy dumplings and treats from China; seen the beautiful dresses and heard beautiful music from India; danced in kilts from Ireland; and made yummy crumpets from Paris! Thank you to the parents who have helped us along our journey and shared about their magnificent cultures!
We had a great time at the Easter egg hunt! Thank you for coming and enjoying the day with the kiddos. They love it when parents come and participate! Our door is always open to any and all parents who would like to come in and do an activity with the kids or read to them.
This month we will continue our trip around the world while making discoveries about other cultures. Part of exploring involves learning about the different foods people eat, which we have been experimenting with in our new cooking class which the kids do once a week with Miss Bethany. The kids are learning so much and having so much fun making new recipes. This would be fun to do at home too! Let your child take part in making dinner once a week! Help them to find a recipe and go through the process of making it. This is a great opportunity to learn about new foods as well as self-help skills. It’s also a great self-esteem booster as they feel so proud about helping!
As the days start getting warmer, the storms are going to start rolling in. We will be talking to the class about the various types of spring weather, and this would be a good time to talk to your kiddos about your tornado safety plans at home.
Welcome to Spring!
