Hello from Ms Jennifer’s Class!

It has been very exciting having the opportunity to be a part of the Delaware Child Development Center West new center that has opened. Meeting and getting to know all the new families has been a joy. DCDC West is a new experience for both us as teachers and the infants and toddlers in our care. The classroom is a great learning environment.

We have been focusing all our attention on growing bonds, gaining trust, and giving all the infants and toddlers in the class the sense of security they need. So far, we have talked about fall and the changing of leaves. The children had so much fun playing in the leaves with their new friends. On Halloween, everyone at Headquarters blessed us by coming and letting us trick or treat.

With the season changing and the weather getting colder, the first snow allowed us to be able to bring snow in for the sensory table. The children all seem to really enjoy and engage at the sensory table. After observing their interest, we have plans for them to mix up and make our own snow to enjoy, along with several other ideas and experiments.
