Ms Amanda's Class—Toddler 1
Greetings from T1!
February was a whirlwind of a month for T1! We focused mainly on activities about love and Valentine's Day; some of these activities included talking about love and how we show our love to people we care for. Talking about this topic with our children supports social emotional development and helps strengthen our relationships with our children. We had some fun art activities to go with these discussions that included lots of red and pink paint! February's weather allowed us some nice days, and we were even able to eat snacks outside! Our class really enjoys outside time, and we are looking forward to warmer weather.
Toward the end of February, we talked about dental hygiene because February is National Children's Dental Health Month. We read books about brushing our teeth and discussed how important it is to keep our teeth clean and healthy. Talking about dental hygiene encourages the children to be more aware of their bodies and how to take care of themselves; it supports health and safety. We encourage our parents to make sure to have fun conversations about brushing teeth!
We had a great month and look forward to seeing you in March!
