Ms KK’s Class—Early Preschool
Happy Spring from EPS!
We have really been watching our Tulips grow and are simply amazed how fast they have been coming up these past weeks! It seems as though they were merely bulbs not long ago, and now some of them are about 3-4 inches tall. The kids have been amazed how quickly they are becoming flowers and watching the colors come to life! Some children have been measuring and comparing the different sizes of plants. What an interesting Science and Math activity! We can't wait to share these with our Mothers on their special day!
In our classroom, we have been talking about exercise and the benefits of a healthy heart. Did you know a healthy heart has many benefits? It not only lowers your blood pressure, but it also helps manage your cholesterol and your body's ability to manage blood sugar. It also lowers your risk for diabetes and decreases the risk of mental illness. We have been discussing the different types of exercise and how it can be a fun activity your whole family can enjoy. There are a lot of things you can do to make it fun! Some activities include Hula Hoop, Bike Riding, Dancing, Taking a Walk, Playing Catch, etc. So, read on to find out some things we enjoy together to stay in shape and keep our heart healthy and strong!
When it is warm outside, we love taking off our shoes and enjoying gross motor activities! We are doing some balancing and running as well as running up and down the hill and tossing the balls back and forth. We also like to play chase and tag and have dance parties! Whew! We love sunshine and we love the outdoors! Thankfully, we have lots of cool water to drink and nice shade for sitting when we get tired. We have even had a few meals outside already—one of our very favorite things!
With Easter coming up, we will be getting ready to dye eggs and enjoy our annual egg hunt! All families will be invited to join us, and we can't wait to plan our party! You will surely want to join us on our special day, so be on the lookout for the sign-up sheet outside our door! If you can volunteer to bring a treat, that will be appreciated. If not, join us anyway!
As always, feel free to stop in and say “Hello” while you're passing by! We love visitors!
Thank you so much!
