Ms KK's Class - Early Preschool 1
Hello from EPS1!
My, has time flow by! September has gone, and we have greeted October with windy, warm days but are looking forward to cooler days to come! We are full speed into all that this class has been busy learning about—graphs, making observations, and doing some last-minute preparation for our trip to the Oklahoma Heritage Farm in Ramona.
We began doing a graph at the end of September just in time for Johnny Appleseed’s birthday. We tasted three different kinds of apples, and we sat together and wrote down how many children liked each variety of apple. It was a fun experiment and a yummy, tasty treat!
Next, we did some observations on the changing of the seasons. We observed the leaves changing color, the grass turning a light brown from a bright green, and the trees becoming bare and showing less shade than normal. Please continue observations with your child as the season progresses. There is so much to see!
Our annual field trip to Oklahoma Heritage Farm will be October 8th. This will not only be educational, but also hands-on. The children will be allowed to experience hands-on activities as well as pet farm animals. We will enjoy a hayride, a large slide, a comedy show, picnic lunch, barre ride, picking pumpkins, and that’s just to name a few! We certainly love the excitement of being together, and this day is something we look forward to each year!
As always, if you have time, feel free to stop in and say, “Hello.” We love visitors!
