Ms Jenny & Ms Gabi's Class - Toddler A

This November, our point of interest will be teaching our class gratitude. We will do so by focusing on our communication and social-emotional skills. Our children’s first teachers are their parents, and I want to encourage our families to talk about being kind and model kind behaviors at home while we practice at school as well. I will send home activities that encourage empathy, identify emotions, and successful communication. Feelings are important and can be very overwhelming for our class. Effective communication will include teaching our class what they can do with their hands (signing or helpful gestures), words, and feet (walking away) in emotional situations. It is important that we support and inspire each other during this time of rapid brain development.
