Ms Emily's Class - Toddler 4

Hello from Toddler 4!

We have been exploring all things Math this month. Some things we have been learning are simple shapes (circles, square, triangle), spacial awareness (inside, behind, on top of), and the simple development of quantity. Math can be seen in everyday experiences of puzzles, stories, and discussions of spacial awareness (where you are in space in relation to others). It is exciting to know that your toddlers are learning about math in these young years, and it lays the foundation for great explorations later on.

We hope you all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving and really embraced the meaning of being thankful and the importance of family and friends.

As we move into the cold month of December, we are focusing on the development of communication and language. We are excited to learn all of these great tools for language that can be used in everyday play. We always encourage parents to read books at home and also in the classroom. Our doors are always open for visitors wanting to read stories with us!
