January In Review
What an exciting January it has been! This month we have been busy with trainings, technical assistance, and professional development. R&R Specialists have trained over 70 providers this month. We have trained on Safe Sleep, Behavior & Guidance, Supervision, and Respectful Caregiving. If you are needing training hours, please contact your R&R Specialist or look at the CECPD Training Calendar for options.
Technical assistance is free coaching from one of our knowledgeable R&R Specialists. We can come out and help with a variety of issues. A few examples would be Child Guidance, Environment, Transitions, Curriculum, Professional Development, Business and Marketing Techniques. This month, we have helped providers in Ponca City, Bartlesville, Perkins, and Skiatook. If you are needing help in your classrooms with any issue, please contact your Specialist, we are here to help.
As Dr. Seuss says, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”. As your R&R team, we must also continue our professional development. We have learned about Mindfulness and Resilience, Conscious Discipline, and Schema Theory. We are ready to bring our knowledge to our providers from these trainings.
In February, we will start sending out our update form. Please remember that we are required to do updates twice a year. This will help families in our area looking for child care. We will be doing a Lakeshore giveaway again, so please make sure you click the link and fill out the form. If you have any trouble with the link or form. Please contact Kristine Abbott at kabbott@delawarechild.org or 918-397-3007.
