Happy February!

This upcoming month, our focus in class will be music. Music is an important part of our day. It helps our children develop skills such as fine and gross motor, expends imagination and communication, and even helps with early math skills! We will be listening to all different types of music and discussing how it makes us feel. I encourage our parents to do this at home, too. It’s a fun way to spend time with your child.

We also will be reading several books that have rhyme and rhythm to help enforce the skills mentioned above! To go along with our music curriculum, we will also have some fun projects to do, such as painting with musical instruments and mood music, which is listening to a song and then painting how it made us feel! I think the children will really enjoy it!
