Ms Emily's Class - Toddler 4
Hello again from Toddler 4!
We have been fast at work learning about different scientific properties. We were able to plant our lavender seeds this month, and we are anxiously waiting for them to bloom. We are talking about the importance of sun and water when it comes to a growing plant! Another fun thing we have been doing is examining a ladybug while creating our own with red construction paper and back paint. The children have really enjoyed developing scientific inquires such as questioning, exploring, and problem solving.
As we move into the month of March, we will be working on mathematics. Two mathematic properties we will be working with is patterns and spacial awareness. We are exploring patterns in our everyday play with puzzles and blocks. When it comes to spacial awareness, we are focusing on vocabulary such as “behind,” “on top of,” “in front of,” etc. It is exciting that we get to turn simple play into a learning experience.
As always, we enjoy having you all in our classroom to visit to have a meal, read a book, or play with us!
