Communication Skills and Early Literacy: Standard 2 - Expressive (Speaking/Vocabulary) The child expresses needs, thoughts and interests through gestures, sounds or words.

This month we will expand our communication skills by talking about emotions and correct terms for items. We will also work on how to positively communicate our needs to each other and the teachers around us. We will be incorporating more songs and activities into our day to make transitions fun. We will also begin talking about families and the roles our friends play within their own home environments! If you have family pictures (pets included) send them our way. As we welcome more children into the program, we will build the bridge between learning about emotions and how to express them in positive ways. Every day will be a new conversation and an experience to learn new words!
