Hello from T1!

Last month our lesson plan was over farm animals, and we had lots of fun talking about all the different animals we see on a farm. We loved reading different farm books; one of our favorites was Pop-Up Peek-a-Boo Farm and Little Blue Truck Springtime. They both were pop-up books, and we got a lot of laughter from these books! We also had fun painting with farm animal toys that we have in our classroom. We also had fun playing in our sensory table - I added flour and mixed it with oil so it got really soft and moldable.

This upcoming month we are going to be talking about ocean animals! I noticed that some of our children like to point out our whales and other ocean animals, and I thought it would be fun to explore the open ocean! I am going to add water to our sensory table and ocean animals to play with! We are also going to be reading some books about the ocean like Hello World Ocean Life by Jill McDonald and Pop Up Peek a Boo Under the Sea. For art, we are going to be painting with a lot of blue and doing some observational paintings of sea animals! I think our class is really going to enjoy this topic, and I can’t wait to start!
