Ms Anita's Class - Toddler 1

Hello from T1!

Last month in T1 we focused on discovering, examining, and exploring with our senses. The children enjoyed examining pumpkins and gourds. In class we discussed the different colors, shapes, and sizes of the pumpkins and gourds. They enjoyed getting to use apples to make the print of a pumpkin. We added songs about seasonal holidays to our music and movement time. We also added the 5 Little Pumpkins to our read-aloud group time. The kids absolutely loved participating and answering questions about the book. Their favorite part is when the wind makes a wooooo sound and out goes the lights. The book has encouraged them to start saying rhyming words that they hear.

This month we will focus on persisting, solving problems, and showing curiosity and motivation. The children will be presented with many opportunities to use and build their problem-solving skills by using open-ended materials during play. Also, while the children are playing, we will be encouraging curiosity and motivation by modeling the different ways you can use some of the items during sand and water play.

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,

Miss Anita and Miss Jordan
