Ms Anita's Class - Toddler 1

Last month in T1 our focus was social and emotional skills. The children really enjoyed singing songs about their emotions. They listened to many books that helped them better understand their emotions. One of the activities that the children did was to point to pictures of different animals and to act them out at large group.

We also got a new teacher last month. I would like to welcome Ms. Ashley Smith. Ms. Ashley comes to us from the downtown center, and we are very thankful to have her.

This month we will be focusing on ELG Physical Development Standard 1: The child participates in activities involving large motor skills. We will be outside a lot more often running, jumping, and climbing. In the classroom the children will be participating in more music and movement activities, yoga, and follow the leader. This will help encourage the children to move in different ways.
