Ms Anita's Class - Toddler 1

Last month in T1, we focused on our colors. The kids really enjoyed getting to hear many different stories about colors. One of their favorites was Freight Train by Donald Crews. They enjoyed saying the colors of the different parts of the train followed by making the sounds that the train makes. In class we did many matching activities to encourage the children to find items around the room that were a certain color. At large group we would sing songs about the different colors of their shirts

This month we will be focused on insects and growing things. We will be reading books about all the different kinds of insects and will have pictures of flowers and insects around the room. We will be incorporating plants into our sensory table along with fake gardening items so that the children can explore what they do.
