Ms Gabi & Ms Rebecca's Class - Infants 1

Hey, Families!

May the fourth be with y’all!

April was such an exciting month for us! We celebrated Week of the Young Child and added more children to the Infant class. In May we will be working on lots of fine motor skills and making monumental milestones with our class and friends. We will work on holding our toothbrushes and drinking from both sippy cups and regular cups. When children develop these skills, they will be able to move more independently and be able to explore their environment inside and outside. Also, during the month of May, we will be having a refresher with Family Style Dining. The children will be learning how to serve themselves and using their fine motor skills with utensils.

During this month, we will be exploring more outdoors. With summer weather beginning, we are asking our parents to start bringing in swimsuits, water hats, or just water clothes to stay at the Center for their child. Fingers crossed, our playground will be done during the summer, and we can adventure outside in our new play area soon. We will be doing water play, stroller rides, and lots of soaking up that vitamin D in the next month. Did you Know??? Babies need vitamin D for healthy growth and development. It helps them build strong, healthy bones and teeth. Babies who do not get enough vitamin D are said to have a deficiency. If the levels are low enough, they are at risk of getting rickets, a disease that affects the way bones grow and develop.

We are very excited to watch the children learn these new skills and to become more independent!

Sincerely,

Ms. Gabi, Ms. Rebecca, & Ms. Katie
