Ms KK's Class - Early Preschool 1
Welcome to our Blog! We are excited to share some happenings that have been going on in our classroom, and we hope you find them enjoyable as we are excited to give you a glimpse into our everyday routine.
January left us with decent weather and looking forward to Valentine’s Day. We studied about Exercise and Hearts and planned our annual Valentine’s Day Party. Then . . . the unexpected happened! As you all know, old man Winter made his unusually cold appearance while spreading ice and snow around green country. This, of course, called for our school to be closed for the safety of the students and staff. Even though our school was opened periodically throughout a two-week span, we managed to celebrate our Valentine’s Day Party and keep the children on task. The children had a great opportunity to play in the snow and to discuss how snow is made. "When water vapors freeze before they turn into water."
Routines are a huge part of a child's everyday life. Routines are important to help children learn to self-regulate, manage feelings, and recognize their emotions. There are times when children feel overwhelmed, and staying in their routine can help children adapt better to change. So, even though there are times when parents have no control over routines, routines can be made at home, and even after school.
Next month, we are ready to study Nutrition, Spring, and Weather. We will be excited to see sunshine, flowers, and warmer temperatures. Remember, if you see us on the playground, don't forget to honk as you drive by!
See you next month!
Ms. KK
