Ms Regan's Class - Toddler 2

This month in T2 we have been focusing on social skills. Being able to focus on these skills everyday has given the children the opportunity to work together as a team when doing things. They have truly been showing on a daily basis that they are learning the social skills that they need at this age. We have done a lot of art work where they have to share certain things. We went outside one day and had a picnic during snack with another classroom. The children really enjoyed playing with each other. They have also learned in circle time when we show a picture of each child, that if they see that someone is gone that day, I will ask them, “What should we do?” The children will say “We need to wish them well.”

This next month we will be focusing on positive relationships and communication skills. We will encourage the children to use their words as much as they can. During free choice time, we will make sure that we are helping the children communicate so that they don’t get discouraged if someone doesn’t understand what they are trying to tell their friends or teachers.
