STANDARD 4: Economics – The child explores Doctors and identifies basic economic concepts.

Hello Parents,

January went by so fast; I hope all is well with everyone. The winter wonderland was a success. For the month of February, the theme will be “Mama, Call the Doctor.”

During this month, I will be dressing the dramatic play area as a doctor exam room. The children will also get to use a real stethoscope that was donated to our class. The children will use their creative skills by creating what they think a heart looks like through sensory and creative play. We will invite a Doctor who works in the local community to talk with the children, answer questions, and show clothing, materials and/or tools they might use to do their work.
