Ms Tuyet's Class - Preschool 2
Hello, Preschool 2 Families!
I want to say thank you to all the families who contributed to our Christmas party! The children enjoyed learning about Christmas as well as being able to share their own family traditions with their classmates. The children had the opportunity to make a few ornaments and beaded necklaces. I think their favorite thing about December was building their own gingerbread houses. They did have a chance to sneak a few bites of the goodies they were supposed to put on the gingerbread, but they enjoyed the experience.
For the month of January, we will be focusing on the ELG Language Standard 3: Print Awareness. The children have shown an increased awareness in wanting to have books read to them. We will be focusing on being able to identify and write the letters of our name. The children will have plenty of activities to search for letters of their names using materials around the classroom. I would love to encourage our families to be working on this at home. It gives your child a sense of ownership and helps to build their confidence in being able to identify which name belongs to them and what letters are in their name.
I do appreciate all that our families do to continue to keep our friends safe. If you need anything, you can always reach me through my email at tgibson@delawarechild.org.
