We are Thankful for Providers!

As November ends, we want to give a big thank you to all our providers. Without you, parents and guardians would not have quality programs to protect and teach their little ones while working. Thank you for giving your time and attention to help build the foundation for North Central Oklahoma children.

December’s newsletter theme is Cultural Differences. With 2020, we have seen many stories and influences of needing to teach our children about the different cultures in the world, but also in our own country. In the article, “The Importance of Promoting Diversity in Early Childhood Programs”, written by Chanel Miller, we need to use reflective language and culturally aware practices in our classrooms. Look for more information about cultural differences in our newsletter.

With COVID-19 numbers rising and holidays approaching, Delaware Child Development has stopped all in person training. The safety of our providers and their families are a high priority of ours. Training is still available through CECPD, with two options to choose training. The first option is to look on the Statewide Training Calendar - this calendar has all training in the state of Oklahoma. Providers can also register for training and see their training profiles from the same website. The next option is CECPD Online Training - this option allows you to do self-paced classes through CECPD.

Resource & Referral still has cleaners and PPE available to providers. Below is a list of available materials we have. Please contact your R&R Specialist if you need supplies. We will make arrangements with you to drop them off contact-free.

Our resource kits are still available for check out. If you are interested in borrowing a kit, please contact your R&R Specialist. Resource kits are cleaned and sanitized when they come back to us from other providers. We want to ensure that our providers and children are protected against viruses and germs.
