Oklahoma Shared Services

Have you checked out the Oklahoma Shared Services website at https://www.oksharedservices.org/? If not, you will need to sign up for an account; any licensed program in Oklahoma is free to sign up to access the website.

This month we are going to talk about all the emergency prep resources that are available to use on the site. For example, under the Emergency Preparedness section, you can find resources on reunification of families, checklists, emergency contact forms for both staff and children, a link to free printable backpack cards, printable posters, printable books for children, and so much more.

One example of a resource link in the Shared Services website is the link to these printable backpack cards from the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/cpr/readywrigley/documents/backpack_emergency_card.pdf. You can print these out to keep with your emergency supplies to help with reuniting children with their families after disasters.

September was National Preparedness Month, but it is never too late or too early to begin planning for emergencies. It could happen to you! If you haven’t checked out all the resources available on the Shared Services site, we encourage you to do so today.
